'Call of Duty: Ghosts' adds female soldier to multiplayer for first time



Move over guys, there's a lady in the room. Infinity Ward has revealed that "Call of Duty: Ghosts" will introduce the option of playing a female soldier to the multiplayer mode of the game for the first time. Females have been seen in the single-player campaign in past versions of "Call of Duty," but never in multiplayer.

Mark Rubin, the studio lead for the game, tells the LA Times the female soldier comes with the option to customize your in-game player, whereas in the past it was randomized. He also notes that it's not simply the same male character, with a female skin laid on top of it. "We had to motion-capture differently. We couldn't use our guy animation on a girl, so it became a big thing."

The new playable character was unveiled during a trailer for the game's multiplayer mode which ended with a view of a female sniper. The trailer also debuted a brand new song from Eminem, which will be featured on the game's soundtrack.

"Call of Duty: Ghosts" will be in stores November 5. Check out the trailer below:
